Dermatitis Journal Article Looks at Lanolin as An Allergen

Lanolin allergenicity is the focus of the “Contact Allergen of the Year” article in the peer-reviewed journal Dermatitis, the official journal of the American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS). Lanolin and its derivatives are widely used in topical formulations for skin, lips, nails, and hair; they also have many industrial uses.
